Seasons greetings!
2020 has been a challenging year for us all due to Covid19. We have made a number of changes with the way we have run the practice to minimise the risk of Covid transmission, including installing a buzzer system, reducing waiting room capacity and introducing social distancing measures as well as using electronic scripts, online flu vaccine clinic booking and promoting telephone/video consultations where possible especially during peaks of disease activity. We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your co-operation with all of these new measures, which have proved very successful.
With the news of increased activity as we approach Christmas, it is important now more than ever that we follow public health advice, limited our contacts and practice social distancing and, most importantly to self-isolate with ANY new respiratory symptoms and contact us or EDOC over the festive period to arrange testing. Our Christmas hours can be found below. For possible Covid referrals when the practice is closed, please note EDOC can refer for Covid testing also when the practice is closed.
We’re hoping to have some news about vaccine roll-out in the New Year but suspect that the role for us will be a few months away with the vaccines that are easy to transport.

Christmas Opening Hours
Please find our opening hours over the festive period for urgent appointments only. EDOC in St Vincent’s Hospital offers out of hours and overnight advice, GP appointments and house visits by calling 01-223 4500 (Please visit www.edoc.ie for information). This service is free for medical card and doctor visit card holders and for Covid-related queries/referrals.
Up to Wednesday 23rd December - Normal hours (EDOC open 6pm overnight)
Christmas Eve 24th December – Morning surgery, 9-1pm (EDOC open 2pm overnight)
Christmas Day - CLOSED – EDOC open 24hours
St Stephen’s Day – CLOSED - EDOC open 24hours
Sunday 27th December: CLOSED - EDOC open 24hours
Monday 28th December, Bank Holiday: CLOSED – EDOC open 24 hours
