Welcome to Churchtown Family Practice
Churchtown Family Practice is a GP surgery operated by husband and wife Dr. Knut Moe and Dr. Hana Maka. We believe in providing a comprehensive and efficient service to our patients based on up to date medical evidence in a friendly and welcoming environment. We have a particular interest in child and family health and well-being.
Established in 2015, we are delighted to return to 111d Beaumont Avenue following extensive renovations. We look forward to welcoming you there from Thursday 30th April. Until then, we are still located at Rear of Unit F3, Nutgrove Office Park, Dublin D14 PK44.

Update - Relocating back to 111d Beaumont Avenue from Thursday 30th April
We are delighted to announce that we will be returning to our home at 111d Beaumont Avenue from Thursday 30th April following extensive renovations. We are excited to welcome you to our expanded practice which now boasts 5 consultation rooms, and significantly more office space and is equipped with wheelchair accessible ramp and drop off area parking.
Please note, parking is still available in the neighbourhood and across the road. Whilst the build has taken significantly longer than initially planned, we are delighted with the results. There are still a few snags to complete as expected, so we are grateful for your patience while we get settled in.
We look forward to seeing you back at Beaumont Avenue soon!

Weight Management Service - for patients who are overweight or living with obesity
We are pleased to now formally offer a weight management service at Churchtown Family Practice for those looking to be assessed and monitored for medical weight management. With the advent of GLP analogs, there has been an increased interest in medical weight loss therapy. We firmly believe that this should be managed through a structured care programme in person in general practice, which should lead to better long term sustainable outcomes than prescription medication alone.
The service starts with an initial assessment for 30 minutes to take a comprehensive history and agree treatment goals, followed by regular follow up visits to ensure these goals are being met and treatment plan tolerated.
Please contact reception to book in or for more information.

Additional information
Please note, we will try and fit in someone if urgent, however it is not always possible to do so - due to increased demand on GP services, routine appointments are regularly running to approximately 1 week, we will always have same day appointments available for urgent cases but these are usually booked up early in the day. If your issue is not truly urgent, please do not take up one of these appointments in place of someone else who may need it more.
Due to increased demands and complexity of GP services, it is not possible to deal with an exhaustive list of medical problems during a routine visit. Depending on complexity, it may not be feasible to discuss all issues to the required detail so we would ask patients to be mindful of this and limit their visits to a maximum 2 or 3 issues or to book an extended consult if they feel they will need more time.
It should go without saying but we will not tolerate any form of abuse of our staff members. Our team work exceptionally hard at providing an efficient service under our direction and instruction, however they should reasonably expect to work in an environment where they are not shouted at or treated in a disrespectful or offensive manner. Whilst we understand accessing healthcare can at times be stressful, we ask that our staff are treated courteously and in turn we would expect they treat you the same way. If we are made aware of unacceptable behaviour, we will act accordingly and may request that you find another GP practice.
